When vision meets reality
Fall continues its journey into winter and we as fans, and family to an Iowa football player, continue to ride the waves of this season as it enters its final stages. Eight games done with 4 left to play and so much yet left undecided and so much yet to play for. And thus far it has been a bit rough, certainly not what we had hoped for or anticipated. At 5-3 with two Big Ten losses, it would require the Hawks to win out and get some help for them to win the West again. An

Geese Run the Show
I am sitting at my good friend Dave Moritz's house in Dyer Indiana (just a stone throw over the IL-IN border and on the south edge of Chicago). Dave played at Iowa back in the 80's and was a great wide receiver in his day. He and his wife Kathleen hosted us Friday night on our way over to the Purdue game. Life Happens - Finding the Vision
IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT ME: Well here we were in the beginning of another football season all focused on our goals and wants for the season and we were re-visited by mother nature for another scare of the Cedar River flooding. We spent about 2 weeks hearing about it, and then folks trying to get ready for it, (sand bagging, barricades, and evacuations), and then 3-5 days waiting to see how high the water would actually get. It did rise but not to the level of 2008 (thank goodnes
